Simple Curried Cauliflower


  • One       Cauliflower, washed and cut into equal size florets.
  • 2tbs       Vegetable Oil
  • 1tsp       Brown Mustard Seeds
  • 2tsp       Ginger Root, grated
  • 1tsp       Coriander, ground
  • ½ tsp    Turmeric, ground
  • ¼ tsp    Cardamom, ground
  • Pinch    Cayenne, ground
  • ½ cup   Apple Juice
  • 2tbs       Lemon Juice
  •                Salt to taste


  1. Heat oil on high heat in large frying pan, add mustard seeds and cook till they begin to pop.
  2. Stir in ginger, coriander, turmeric, cardamom, cayenne and cauliflower, toss them together. 
  3. Pour in the juices, sprinkle with salt, cover and simmer until the cauliflower is just tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. If you’d like to make this more saucy, you could stir in a cup of plain yogurt or coconut milk towards end, and stir gently till heated through.  (Don’t allow to boil!)
